Hello all. Apologies if yous saw this in the tuning general topic too, just wanted as many people as possible to see this. I have recently purchased a second Mk4 ibiza 1.9 TDI 130 sport with the intention of taking a lot of parts off it to put on my Mk4 ibiza 1.9 TDI 130 sport. The new car has an ECU remap on it, whereas mine is standard. I would like to swap the ECUs over so that mine has the remap. I already tried swapping both the ECU and the Instrument cluster (clocks) over and putting the Immobiliser transponder from the other car's key fob into mine. Still, the immobiliser is not allwoing me to start my car. What other steps need to be taken? A local garage has advised me that the Transponder pickup coil that fits round the ignition needs to be swapped too. Is this the step i am missing? Or is there something else that needs to be swapped too? Thanks in advance for any help.
