View Full Version : A pillar boost guage pod?
I'm looking to get an autometer ultralight boost guage for my 20vt next week. Can anyone recommend an a-pillar pod for the Ibiza?
I'd like something that looks stock.
I think I read a while back that someone made a complete new a-pillar trim for the Ibiza that had a pod built in?
Oh, I think the autometer boost guage is 52mm diameter if that helps.

Anybody seen the nomad pillar up close? I'd like to know what kind of quality it is before I get one. Thanks.

I presume the blue lighting comes from blue LED's? Could be worth changing these to red ones?

If you can sort it out soon, then I'll deffo be up for that. andy_dea would be too, so that's 3 definates.
ive got the dual A pillar pod mount from nomad-fits perfectly and is an exact match for the existing trim.
The only thing I would say is be careful in your gauge choice as some are just plain crap and lose calibration after a couple of months.
A lot have autometer gauges on here(myself included-ive got four of em)and IMHO you will struggle to find something better.
Cheers,
Dan
Cheers Deejay.
That's what I'm going for. 52mm Autometer ultralight and this pod.
Now that I know it looks good, I can buy :)

Well I definately want one, but I want it pretty soon, so if you reckon you can sort something within a couple of weeks then I'd be up for it. The only thing is that the group buy would have to be valid for all the different types as most people probably want the single pod version, but i want the 2 pod version... and I'm not sure whether my gauges are the 52mm or the 60mm, so I'll check.
Deejay, i presume one of your gauges is boost, whats the other one? Oil temp and pressure on a single gauge?
Cheers
Ben
My Nomad double A Pillar is coming tomorrow, got Boost Gauge and Oil Pressure Gauge from www.raldes.co.uk (£90.27 inc vat + p+p) good thing about Nomad is price on screen is including VAT £72 and can order online, and if you're jammy like me you wont have to pay £6.50 for p+p cos they didn't have any in stock when I ordered so had to wait another 2days for them to get it in but saved some pennies!
Looking forward to getting them installed, but won't be for another 2 weekends yet as my technical mate isn't free til then, also fingers crossed my Blitz Turbo Timer (off Ebay - Japan, since ordering have been informed you can get them off Ebay in UK cheaper + no £15 shipping fee) will have arrived so will be going from no mods to quite a few in one day!

i have boost and voltage in the nomad dual pod and oil temp+ pressure in the custom centre console bit along with some other bits.
IMHO the boost and oil temp are a must as they have been so helpful in my daily driving in knowing when to cane it etc.
the voltage gauge should hopefully come into its own now what with two batteries and a split charge for all the ice.
