S**t Service from SG PETCH

Hello, On Monday this week I telephoned SG Petch of county durham to place an order for a honeycomb grille for my Leon, the guy I spoke to told me they would have it in on Tuesday and they would courier it out to me and I would have it on Wed. Wed. came and went and I phoned them tonight (thurs) at 4.45pm and spoke to the parts manager, I told him the situation and he went and checked for the part and said it had went out today but I wouldn't probably see it till Mon. or Tues. next week. I wasn't happy after being told I would have it by Wed. this week. I told him to get me a tracking no. and phone me back. He didn't!!!!
I phoned back after 5 and asked to speak to the manager. A lady came on the phone and again I explained what had happened. She started apologizing for the parts guy and said she would phone the courier to see when I would get the part.
She phoned back a little while later and told me due to me staying in the HIGHLANDS of Scotland I wouldn't get delivery till next Wed. at the earliest!!!!

I don't know if she did geography at school or not but on anybodys map Aberdeen is not in the highlands and I know a lot of people stlll think we operate horse and carts up here but a week and a half to get a grille from North England to Aberdeen is crazy!!!!!!!!!!

I finally lost it with her and told her to keep the grille and give me a refund.:(

So beware if ordering things from SG Petch if you need them in a hurry!!!!!

Have a look for SereMotors NI in the Seat Dealers Section. David's service is 1st Class.
He's the only Parts manager I've ever dealt with that doesn't have a blank expression to any part you need. I don't bother with any local dealers now and just order from him.
I'm sure they'll be another 100+ on here that will agree with me.

Dave at Sere Motors is who you need to speak to. I am from your neck of the woods as it Willie, Josh and loads of others, and we all use him with no problems. Its a pleasure dealing with him, they have a section on this forum, and you will not beat his prices. Win Win Win.

Thanks for the reply's guys, I just thought I would give them a go, I will give the guy you mentioned a shout tomorrow.

I can't accept the shit you get from some dealers and because they are the main dealers they think you have no option and can get away with anything!!!!!
If the guy at SG PETCH had told me from the start I wouldn't get the grille for another week or so then I would have had the option of getting it from somewhere else. Some guys' will tell you anything over the phone either just to get your order or to get you off the phone!!

I like to mention good service when i get it but I like to tell everyone and their dog when you get shit service so other people don't have to put up with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Again don't order anything from SG Petch for your Seat unless you want it next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

don't want to rub it in.. but I got some stuff shipped over from China on 4th, and it turned up inside of a week :)

All I can do is recmommend what has been said above, get on to David at Sere.. top guy
