I got my milltek downpipe and sports cat etc.... last week. And i am getting it fitted this coming week.

I went to my dealer today to order a turbo to downpipe gasket but there parts computer wouldnt show one, the parts guy also asked one of the techie's and he said that on the AYP engine there isnt one , this i find strange myself. is it true ?

Also i have heard that the studs in the turbo can snap, is it a common thing, as i dont want to get the garage to do if theres a chance this could happen or am i just being paranoid.

Thanks for that, looks like i will be trying a different dealer on monday if they cant find a simple gasket.

Are they seat specific or could i get them from VW or german & swedish, euro car parts ??

Vw may be able to help as they tend to be better than the Seat dealers. For the sake of the downpipe studs times 4 i would buy them incase.

well its fitted now, reason it took so long for an exhaust anyway is they guy did it inbetween other work to save me a penny or two.

The studs did prove to be a pain but didnt snap thankfully, and i got the gasket in the end from VW for something daft like £3 (joys of being in the trade).

:)

Nah, seat uk claim it should of only taken them 2.5hrs. And a max of 4hrs, luckily i have some independet witness's to the price i was offered by the service manager, but they have already told me they will honour the quote, but no one will get it done that cheap in the future.
