Hi Guys,
how the hell do I remove the lines on front and rear bumper.
I want to paint them in my car's colour and I have to remove them somehow.
Can someone post me the procedure and tools needed.
Thanks

This is a joke right? Can't I just push a button somewhere and they would fell off.
If you are talking about the front/rear bumper strips then no, he definitely isn't joking!
Strongly recommend you buy some new ones and have them sprayed coz
a)they're cheap
b) you could break the current ones taking them off.
In the end I just cut mine and ripped them off, to much hassle!
or...have them sprayed whilst still on the car.

I'm about to order new ones. Are the part number correct?
Front 6K0 807 225 H
Rear 6K6 807 425 G
Thanks for the info
if I remember correctly, it's better to order the strips from the lower models as these are easier to spray (they are flat satin black and don't have the anthracite grain like the Cupra versions)
Front:
6K0 807 225 D B41
or (I think this is an updated version)
6K0 807 225 F B41
Rear:
6K0 807 425 D B41
or
6K0 807 425 F B41

yes but only if you wanna use the pre painted anthracite ones as standard
if painting em go for the black ones above as the anthracite ones will peel after spraying
and add 79Y to the end of each if you still need em (colour code)

That's weird, I checked this part numbers from etka too.
But I can't make any updates it is always telling me the update failed. Anyone has any info about it?
make updates ?
you just load over the newer version
ahh you mean prices - forget that crap - you need a pukka price file to convert anyway
---------
look up those mouldings again and you will see
PR-8X0
PR-8X1
these are parts reference codes
select funtions (looks like a lined box/ next to the pencil)
and select MSP-Pages
add the beginning of the code - this case 8X
ta da :p correct description as listed
you will find many MANY little twists/turns and pitfalls on your journey o wise ones - if you get stuck or cant be arsed to find out drop me a line - and NO there was never a help system installed in any of them - sorry - only the hard way or :p ask away
Fl@pper, you're a genius!
I have update 49 and I tried to get my prices to work, but to no avail. :(

So just to doublecheck;
I have to add 79Y at the end of part number to get the primed one so I can paint it.
Are this part numbers correct then or are they without 79Y.
6K0 807 225 D B41 79Y
6K0 807 425 F B41 79Y
no the 79Y ones come pre painted in metallicy type silver/anthracite
IF you want to paint them
used the black std ones as a start - much better for paint and prep that way
front:
6K0 807 225 D B41
Rear:
6K0 807 425 F B41
both come in std black

Flap I just made a call to my dealer and he offcourse things this part number is not to paint, but it doesn't matter. They should learn more. My question is just if my painter needs to put primer across the surface or is this plastic already primed.
Thanks m8
See when you remove the bumper strips up the side is there holes behind them or are they just masticked on?
cheers

have 2 people, start on one corner (drivers side usually) and have one person pushing the strip from behind the bumper and another pulling from the front (using a flat object to lever). It does require considerable force!!!
