Storing alloys outside

As the title really, I've picked up a set of alloys that will get winter tyres soon, but at the moment the bike is getting a bit of an overhaul and I've got nowhere to store them in the garage yet. Is there any problem with leaving them outside uncovered? My first thought is that they're outside all the time when they're on a car, so I don't think there shouldn't be any problem. Am I missing something obvious?

i'd cover them with a sheet (tarpaulin) or something personally, and make sure they're sealed well, like any loose corners tucked in etc.

Should be fine mate. i left myine outside one winter and didnt have a problem
