Power steering suddenly sounds & feels dodgy...

This morning on the way to work in the Leon I'm getting a whining noise, which gets worse as I apply steering lock at low speeds. This isn't the normal 'can only just hear it' power steering noise, but quite a loud groaning/whining noise. When I parked, I let the car idle for a moment, then just pulled forwards and back a few times whilst putting on a bit of steering lock, and the steering felt distinctly lumpy through the wheel. This doesn't sound too promising to me, and I'll be off to the dealers tonight. Just wondered if anyone else has had this? Car is only 3 weeks old!

Any ideas what this might be Flapper/Swinny?

sounds like the pump is tightening up , or the belt is sticking for some reason , have you got it in yet ???

if not do it ASAP coz if either goes whilst on the move its heavy hands time , and it is not as easy as the rally boys make it seem
