JKM are very pleased to announce that we have taken receipt of the new Revo SPX hardware and Revo Crypt-X software for tuning cars with year 2010 anti tuning measures!
If you know that your car has an antitune (locked) ECU type and it has been previously not been possible to tune it - contact JKM as we are now ready to take bookings! :yes:

What is Revo SPX/Crypt-X
The Revo SPX/Crypt-X package is exclusively used by Revo dealerships as a solution to the factory updated ECU security currently seen on V.A.G year 2010 (onwards) vehicles with Bosch MED17 and EDC17 ECU’s.
These ECU types can not currently be remapped by reflashing via the On Board Diagnostics (OBD) port. This security is being referred to by various parties as the ‘MY2010 issue’, or ‘anti-tuning measure’.
What is this security?
This is an enhanced version of ECU security that’s been incorporated in Bosch ECU’s since the launch of EDC16 ECU’s. On some year 2010 vehicles the ECU uses a Digital Signature that cannot be bypassed via an OBD port flash, instead the ECU needs to be removed from the vehicle and opened in order for a probe to be placed on the board in order to bypass the Digital Signature.

How do we know which vehicles are affected by this security?
Revo recommend that all vehicles are treated as not having the digital signature when they first visit JKM as there is no tell tale sign to if a car has antitune software present or not, Cars can have the same ECU number and software version but some will have the lock out and others not so :thumbup:
If a vehicle is affected the ECU will still take a Revo file as normal via an OBD flash, however the flash will either not complete or once completed the ECU won't come out of reflash mode. In this scenario in order to get performance code onto the car, the ECU will need to be removed and the Revo SPX and Crypt-X software will be used to disable the Digital Signature allowing a performance file to be loaded!
