Hello,

following the discussions on replacing the kat by a pipe my question:

I've replaced the kat on my 1.8T ibiza, but the engine is not chip-tuned (yet). I think it works fine in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear, but in 4th and 5th it doesn't.

can anyone tell me if this makes sense?

Is replacing the kat by a pipe only useful if it's chiptuned also??

Thanks,

Jaap

Do you have your check engine light CEL on yet?
Lambda probes connect where now?

If you have a less restrictive exhuast with no cat now, the ecu will not likely be fueling it correctly on standard settings.
