Having had one of these in my hands i can say its a very sturdy and good looking piece of kit. I 'm looking forward to fitting one and reaping the benefits. I can vouch that Issam is on the ball with his service for these also (delivery within one week).
What is the chance of having a custom turbo to mani gasket made to accomodate the wider bore of the collector.

Talking with Cometic to get some made now.
If I could get a few K04 cores here I could port them out and have them coated as well so all you would need to do is bolt in your CHRA.
Anyone have a few blown K04's with good turbine housings they want to send across?

[B)] That sounds likea great complementary upgrade, would the entire turbo need rebalancing once reassembled or is it fit and play.

Should be fit and play. I checked and the 023 & 022's have the same turbine housing.
Not sure on the 020's as we didnt get those here.

I'm sure the 020 is exactly the same also except that it doesn't have the T3 thread tapped in the housing for the egt probe.

"It will work out well. I believe in my products regardless of what slagging may occur on here. I have never left any of you members hanging and I do not intend to either.
What was posted about us was extremely hurtful. Bill can update posts all he likes , he can egg on people all he wants but the reality is and the fact still remains , we develop products and we stand by them. If they fail we go back to the drawing board and improve them.
We are not difficult to work with , ask anyone who has worked with us but come at us ready for battle then we will have our shields up. Dannie came to me and asked me to run the manifold knowing the issues. He has been a long time customer and I will support him the same way I supported any of you new customers and if the manifold cracks then so be it , he gets a replacement and life goes on." Quote from Danny Lads thread.
Will Danny have to pay for the shipping for a replacement like i had to.
You HAVE left members hanging.........ME.
You assured me at time of purchase that no manifold failures had occured, this was not true as you well know - a coated manifold had already failed.
The materials used in this batch of manifolds is very poor quality as we all know yet you still supply these with no consideration to the costs and inconvenience of removing and refitting.
Your not looking after the members that have supported you. There is no slagging or egging on here simply the facts are presented so that fellow enthusiasts are pocession of all the facts unlike i was.
Its simple Issam, just change the matrials used in the manifold and your on a winner - stick with your proven failed materials and its going to cost your reputation dearly. All the negativity incurred over this fiasco is self inflicted.

I am not going to get into this AGAIN on a public forum.
We have exhausted this enough both on SCN , your Audi sport thread and via email. What happens between Danny & INA stays between Danny & INA. What happens between wild willy & INA stays between wild willy & INA. Its a performance part , it failed......we are sorry it failed and we are doing what we can to make it succeed. I am not sure what more you want from me but if you want to discuss this further then send me an email with your thoughts.
I want be discussing matters such as this on public forums anymore. This is standard industry practice to resolving issues and we have officially adopted it as of JAN-01-2011.
Thank You

Actually, you haven't addressed any of the issues above and your new policy listed above is most convenient. You'll take the money but dich people like a lead wieght well problems opccur, most unprofessional. And FYI if you handled issues professionally they would never make it to the forums.

And we are not going to address them on a public forum. My policy was effective because forums never seem to get anything resolved. Had you and your manifold fitter come to me FIRST before doing what you did we wouldn't be where we are today. Whether you know it or not , I read alot of forums and the threads I dont read , someone will send me the link so I see the "subliminal messages" and innuendo's. It is not productive for anyone period.
Again , if you have some concern please fire off an email and it will be taken care of.

I think this is about the time I chime in.
Being on the same side of the pond of INA and close enough to have met him in person, I think I should put my impression about this manifold issue and the guy effort to settle that, cuz there is 2 things that you seem to forget or don't realize in that issue .
You see there's a thing we all have in common regardless of the car we drive and the mods we have if we are interested in that manifold: it's been years since we wait for a decent high flow manifold being build for the k04-02x. But as a downside, we can get a little too exited when a product like that get out and try to have our part too fast and we get product that haven't been throuroughly tested and aren't 100% ready for the market.
I'm a businessman too, not close to INA's or other guy's who live from their product tough but you need to realize that people who do sell/develop products need to make money with it. So they need to develop products the most cost effective possible and be able to sell it at a price people who'll actually buy it.
Concerning the mani failure now. Could it be from a bad material? Probably. bad casting/foundry used? I can't tell but if the caster's decided to cut prices to have a better cut, it can really be a problem. Don't forget too that your hybrids raise EGTs and that you crack oem manifolds too.
Is INA don't care about you or others? Hell no. I'll be the tester of the last manifold of the first batch (on a ATP GT2871R) and it'll probably crack (hope not tough) and I know that he's gonna provide me with another manifold afterward, but I'll have to remove the cracked one and put the new one in. Will it cost me? hell yeah but that's the price to pay when you modify your car I think. Charging for the shipping of a replacement can be debated but again, every single company i dealt with do that and I had an issue with a bad part from a UK company and I had to pay for the replacement part to be shipped.
I just hope that INA's will provide a good manifold for all of us guys and that at the end everyone will be happy. I'm just pissed that people use forums to flame guys that doesn't deserve it. INA (personnal experience here) always have been of great help to me even if I ain't the best customer he has, I usually ask a lot of questions and end not buying, but he always awnser and try to help.

....................
I have 034/INA K04 Manifold on my setup and touch wood it still working fine, its done 5k now.I keep my EGT's in check never let them reach above 850c, i always run the motor after a journey for a few minutes until the EGT's reach about 450c.
So far so good, these things will last if you take care of them and not take the piss with 1000c+ EGT's.
There was one bad example of the product(Badger5) but myself and another member have had zero problems thus far.
I look forward to the development of these, the K04 community are in desperate need of this sort of product.

Thank you for the review.
I have found that the manifold cracked under the following conditions:
K04 hybrid with insane back pressure
uncoated
...which also happens with oem manifolds....such a shocker.
Obviously though that is no excuse and we are testing the new manifold as of yesterday morning (monday morning) even with a restrictor on the turbine inlet to increase EGT's and see if the manifold will crack.
Will also be show casing the turbochargers we have which are now done and ready to rock. They WILL require a new downpipe though so I have an Audi TT 225 downpipe on order from the UK and will compare with the US unit before moving forward with fabrication.
Sorry updates have been slow , I am just extremely thorough these days with respect to the uk crowd. With the new dealers on board , the products we carry are starting to reach the right ears and more volume means better pricing and better availability in the UK.:funk:
