Driveforward: how is Sooty running on these cold mornings with the temp sensor tuning box? Do the cold mornings make any difference to drivability etc?

Hi Craig,
TBH the car is running better now, the soot production seems to have fallen and the car is less 'chuggy' when idle. The only thing the cold mornings do to the drivaability is the nice cool air for the intake, which makes the car pull much more readily.. and hence even more loss of traction on the wet roads :(
Overall tho, if you don't want to spend £100's, the £10's I spend were well worth it - a gain of 20BHP :D
Those are excellent results Ian..

Thanks Ian, I'm in touch with a chap that does a two-stage switchable resistor box that plugs into the fuel temp sensor (Foxy from the Golf forum) so I might well give it a try for £50 :D
cheers, Craig
