Just had a call from my local Seat dealer to say that my car is up for a recall for the tyres. Just wondered if anyone else has heard about this?
I'm running 225x40x18 Bridgestone Potenza's
Yes, me.
I had Goodyear Eagle F1 on from new. At 10K service (which I did at 14K by mistake) they told me I had to have 4 new tyres. This I did, and have 4 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. (Which I am selling on my original rims) I did post this back on 12th July with pics of the new rims.
I saw cracked sidewalls on the front inner faces of the Goodyears. Garage I had the new tyres for the neww alloys told me he had not heard of a SEAT recall on tyres, which he was surprised about
Hey Looney, if they're free, jump at it! MAke sure the garage balances the new tyres, as my dealer literally just fitted new tyres - no balancing. That was sorted out & a grease monkey was dismissed for this!

Hmmmm, interesting.....
I had Pzero's on mine from new, and have recently swapped the fronts for Potenza's.

Just to wrap this up... I took my car in earlier this week and they told me it's the Good (bad) year eagles that are at fault. So I didn't get any news tyres  All those handbrake turns for nothing!

dont panic - this is an old thread and Goodyears did have a problem...but that was in the past.
From recollection it was ones made in Hungary - but if you do a search you should be able to find out country and codes for the ones they had issues with
