View Full Version : which body kit?
I've been looking around and I've been thinking of a Sunshine rear bumper and a Seidl (http://www.psgbodystyling.co.uk/images/seat/seat_ibiza_1996_seidl_f.jpg) or a Mattig (http://www.autovaruste.net/kori/muutmerkit/8133200090.jpg) front bumper, a spoiler from PI (http://www.passionmotorsport.co.uk/ppppicseat1.jpg), not really sure about skirts tho...what does everyone think? :P

I've been having the same problem 2. But ive decided to get the whole car colour coded and leave the body as standard as it looks good anyway. The problem with Ibiza body kits are that they try n make the car look like a bloody Japanese car, picture a typical Saxo with a daft kit on it!! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! it just doesnt go with the theme of the car at all. The first picture on your post looks good but isnt really that different to what you've got and the second is a defo no no, there's more mesh than bumper and its looks daft, that saxo is coming to mind again.!! the only kit ive ever seen look good on a Ibiza if the F2 kit off the PSG (not sure if its PSG) web site. another good link is www.abstyling.co.uk there good with body kits. Go for a euro style look that suits your car (look at all good v dubs, there always left standard!!!), leave it standard, get a 16v front lower bumper spoiler n get it sprayed to the colour of ur car, get the door handles sprayed, side skirts bumpers etc, good wheels, low suspension and it will look mint. up to you tho :D
erm my car =

i'll be honest they look good on a mk2
i was thinkin of lowering it 60mm on 16's/17's
aaaa...that was like my first car :) , a red one too ... when i had mine i put on , F2 Bumper , Colour Coded sideskirts , 17 Aloys , Lowering springs and a shit exhaust :)
Someone may have pics somewhere .. also , you're lucky yours is a three door aswell.
F2 kit here - http://www.psgbodystyling.co.uk/gallery.php?man=PSG&ref=WRC%20Look&make=Seat&model=Ibiza&image1=seat_ibiza_psg_wrclook_f.jpg&image2=seat_ibiza_psg_wrclook_r.jpg
Front bumper will set you back £160 i think , some side skirts you can pick up from a seat dealer , i dont know how much they are but i wouldnt expect too much , or you can get some M3 style ones for about £120 or so i think .
I would also get a set of 16" alloys from someone on here a cupra (check in the for sale section , there were a couple of sets i think) , they would look great i think plus not as heavy as 17s , there are plenty of options out there to lower the car , just depends on your budget.

sorry i didn't realise it was an early Mk2  defo get some late Mk2 bumpers then colour code the lot, prob cheaper than body kit anyway! I got 15's on me old car n wasnt happy till i got 17's. I have seen those 16's of 20vt Cupra on a Mk2 and they look great!i wanted those but couldnt find any for sale n ended up gettin me 17's. Buy em, you know you want to.
If you do decide to get late mk2 bumpers , make sure you try and get them from a scrappy or something , if you have patience and are willing to ring around and look you will be able to find ..
Front and Rear bumpers and side skirts no problem , and you'll pay peanuts for them , plus to get everything sprayed will be in the region of £250 - £300 or so. Quite a bargain.
Someone on seatowners.co.uk is trying to sell his crashed mk2 cupra , but im trying along with a couple of others for him to break it and for him to sell the parts seperately. Check the link below, the front is f*cked , but there are 4 white cupra alloys , im sure the interior is in good nick , plus side skirts and rear bumper and rear spoiler, im sure you could pick up quite a lot there.

The car on SO doen't belong to Smithy, think he saw it on Ebay and posted it up incase anyone else was interested in it. ;)

i have a late rear bumper on my early 1.4 makes it look miles better. should be gettin a front end of feb. if u can find somewhere which sells copyed pannels bumpers are about £50 each.
THE best way to make a mk2 look good is to put standard gti 16v bumpers and skirts on, colour code it and put on 16" Cupra wheels.
This is a pic of my old 16v, which I reckon is one of the cleanest examples I've seen. I was going to colour code the skirts and bumpers, but decided to upgrade to a 20vt instead.
