Hi, anyone fitted a front mounted intercooler to a seat ibiza 03 reg?
I see that forgemotorsport do one that fits this model. Anyone out there fitted one and could tell if it was easy and if it felt a significant improvement. Or any other FMIC's that would fit. Help.
regards John
O tdi's you really don't need to swap the IC until you've done everything else (remap, exhaust, intake). And even then results don't differ much until your running very high boost.
All this to say that tdi's are not as prone to heat soak.

don't worry Paulo, the exhaust and breathing will come first, then the FMIC and the management system last.
But info re the FMIC's still welcome.

Well it depends which car your running. A 90 or 110 (possibly up to a 130) can run the uprated sidemounted forge IC. For a FM I'd probably look at one off a 150 TDI. It's alot cheaper than a forge, and would do pretty good.
You might also want to take a look @ the ones they where mounting on the 1.8t, think it was made by GRS.

I've seen the GRS one online but haven't been in touch with them yet. Did enquire of starperformance.co.uk who sell the APR one, they said it would'nt fit the TDi, maybe they're all petrolheads and they wouldn't consider it.
Buying an fmic from the 150 might be worth considering- I'll look into that.
mine's is the 130pd, by the way. thanks for the 150 intercooler suggestion.

I know some of the 1.8t guys are going 150pd FMIC, so it should be interesting.:)

Cant see how a FMIC will make much difference unless you are thinking of uprating the turbo.
I got 192bhp and 332lbft out of my 130 with only a remap.
But hey go for it i think the FMIC come in at around a bag of sand.
