Look for the bit with "NEW" next to it :p

As I had already mentioned the results look great. Just wondering about the 2 lumps in the torque curve. Your still producing more than the OE torque a 3k...:D :D

Good work..

Seems that quite a few of the Diesels tested at stealth have that kind of lump in torque curve (I do, Ian does, Muddyboots does).

could it be something to do with the rolling road there?

or to do with the way their 'driver' drove?

Now that you mention it, the last time I saw something similar was due to the wheels actually slipping on the rollers.
If the torque actually had the dips, you would notice it under acceleration.

I also thought it might be tyre slip on the rollers, but then wondered maybe the torque peak is "clipped" by the ECU to avoid damaging the gearbox/clutch ?
The guys at Stealth did think it might have been tyre slip, and sprayed some sort of clue on the rollers for the second run but it made no difference.

What did Rage's look like ?

Also, is there a plot of mine anywhere (ie better than my poorly scanned in effort !)

I haven't seen Rage's latest dyno plot. Do you think it could be the dreaded *cough* *cough* clutch slip *cough* problem again. Clutch slip would deffo show up as a dip..

I seriously dought the ECU would clip anything.

nah, rage's is fine

amd has a lump, abt smooth, as was revo smooth

Could also be "El famoso" MAF Problem doing the lump (cus even the stock measurement has it). I know I have a dyno plot somewhere with a cheesy MAF. Lumps where worse than those in dyno.

Nice plots though.

Good plot that - interesting to see how they compare.

AMD has one of the highest torque peaks, but tails off the soonest.
One the other hand my ABT chip doesn't quite peak as high, but doesn't quite tail off as fast past 4000rpm.

Rage said his clutch has been slipping, but he's got the highest torque figures and *didn't* get the dip like the rest of us did  so perhaps it isn't tyre slip after all...

Is there a similar plot of the power curves anywhere m0rk?

got a reply back today from skoda uk:-Dear Mr Mann,

Thank you for your email.

I have spoken with our Technical Support Department and I can confirm that the
ratios for 4th and 5th gear are as follows:

4th - 1:0.911
5th - 1:0.902

Therefore, it appears that 4th gear is the closest to the ration 1:1.

I thank you for contacting us and I trust this information is of use to you.
Should you have any further questions you feel I may be able to assist with,
please do contact me on 0845 7745 745.

Yours sincerely
