Guys,

Can someone (Stu or m0rk probably!!) tell me which VW 22mm Master Brake Cylinder will fit my Mk2 Ibiza ?!?

I've been reading Stu's guide for the rear disc conversion, and recon that it's not really worth me doing the full upgrade/conversion.

Reading Stu's opinion of the conversion, I recon that if I replace the master cylinder with a 22mm one, and then along with some Dot 5.1, braided hoses, Pagid FR Pads and grooved discs, I should have a much improved braking system ;)

Opinions much appreciated.

The reason for looking into this is that I can't really afford a new car just yet, so I'm going to tweak mine a little !! :D

Looking on GSF, under Mk3 Golf's I've found these:

65276 BRAKE MASTER CYL-22.2mm G3 2.0 8v MPi 11/91 >2/99 29.75
65277 BRAKE MASTER CYL-FAG 22mm G3 2.0 8v MPi 11/91 >2/99 49.75

Either of these correct ?!? ;) Obviously they're the same part, just different manufacturers. If so, the cheaper one will be bought !! ;)

Ones a patent part the other should be a genuine bendix item.

as long as its got 4 outlets on it, it should fit

dont forget those pirices plus vat!

Cheers Stu,

I know a guy who works at my local GSF, so will speak to him nicely, and get the Patent part, and try it out. If it doesn't fit etc, I'll swap it for a different one ;)

oh, the patent part wont have the lugs to locate the resovoir it will sit nicely in the rubber seals but will wiggle side to side a little
