Hi there, im in the process of buying items for when i go to stage 2 and just recently bought a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator and was wondering if i can install it now or should i wait for the remap ? will it mess up my car if i do install it now ?
Thank you, Dean.

It might run more rich than you'd like it, you won't see any gains if that's what you mean, simply because the car's not mapped for the 4 bar. Best to check with your tuner to ask if you need a 4 bar fpr to begin with, if they do then fit it when he maps it but not before.

Was told not to fit mine before the remap as it can cause damage to the engine. ( just a mental note to anyone else that may be asking at a later date with the search button )

It won't damage the engine, it could result in loss of power, possibly some black smoke from running rich but won't damage it.

i asked awesome gti and they said it would be fine just use more fuel and make the mixture too rich which wont do anything to damage the engine except more the performance loose abit

Not alot of tuners use a 4 bar map, I know AMD does but it's not of much use when our fuel pump is only 3 bar

dont fit it until you get stage 2 revo done. its a 5min job to swap over.
pointless making it run pig rich when it does'nt have to.
it will adapt it out anyhows I know but you will have minus 17% fuel trims as a consequence..
not worth fitting it imho - until you get the code to run with it
