I bet the soft steering can be easily tweaked in VAG-COM, so that's not a major problem.

My mum's looking into buyng one...I'm gonna try and put her off for the moment.

Why does everyone dislike the FR so much? I know that SEAT could have made it much better - more power, more aggressive looks etc but just because they haven't, doesnt make it a bad car does it?

Well, for the same money you could get the "quicker" TDI sport without the silly "titanium look" painted mirrors and that awful dash. Plus you'd get cheaper insurance from the TDI Sport.

Don't get me wrong, the idea itself is fine, but they may aswel have just stuck the 1.8T in a sport trimmed car and be done with it!

The Cupra is a more promising car, that's what I want her to wait for.

On the other hand, do I really want her to put up with the creaks and rattles that mine has?

Also, I don't think she needs a fast car anymore, especially as you can't drive fast around Northampton anymore and also that there are cameras everywhere.
