View Full Version : When are Seat going to get the 130 / 150 PD TDI engines
Does anybody know when VW will let Seat drop these engines into the Leon / Toledo. I had a ride in a mates 130 PD TDi Bora the other day and was very impressed with it. Given that the Golfs now have the 150 PD engines, is there any chance Seat could have at least the 130 soon? Or is this too much to ask?
Had the TDI150 for yonks mate......on the continent :(
And 4wd too.....reserved for countried with good weather
Boo to Seat UK! :hammer:
(PS ~ New Beeza range just released....no Cupra yet, so fastest model is 130PD)

Have been driving a toledo 150 since Oct and I've seen then on the road since late august or early september.
Have Seat UK or Ireland provided any further info on when they will make available in RHD what they have in LHD or are they goig to continue to piss us about ?

You've got to remember there is a hierarchy in VW group cars, maybe 2003 the Leon will get a 150, and UK is reletively small diesel market compared to other European countries. Call me a cynic.
I wouldn't say you are being a cynic - just realistic !!
:p
The Seat leon 150 BHP TDI is orderable in Holland i beleive.
There i am in my C4TDI, looking at the exhaust pipe of a Sport 150 HP. (car is much lighter and has longer gear ratio's)
Jaco
But it is left hand drive ?
i have no idea. You would have to ask a dealer who is interested in exporting cars i assume. But i guess if they can deliver left had steered Leons, a 150 HP TDI sport is also possible.

Don't know, we have placed 1 order to see if the factory rejected it, and after 10 days it hasn't been rejected! Our dealer says it's been accepted.
Seat want to revive the Toledo somewhat and this is a good way to do it, along with changes to the V5 and a possible Toledo Cupra V6 4WD.
They probably won't talk about this car until it's launch is imminent, if past history is anything to go by.

Very Interesting.
that's probably why they are knocking the 1.9 TDi SE 110Bhp out for £12,995
Seat imports you mentioned changes to the V5. I don't suppose you have any idea what these might be? Or when they might be announced. Hopefully it won't include removing things which seems to be Seat's idea of product development.
Do you know what the UK spec will be of the TDI 150's and how much they are likely to cost?
Thanks

Guys......
Don't know about the changes to the V5 but I do know that Seat desperately want to revive this flagging model and seeing as they are now officially the "sporting" brand of the VW group, hence the 150TDi, I would expect a Toledo 2.8 4WD soon. The V5 may then become body kitted/jazzed up like a Cupra, a bit like they have just done by upgrading the 1.8 20VT to look like a Cupra4! All theory of course, but something is happening because we can't order V5's at present!
We have allowed for the 150TDI being the same as the current SE, but have added leather, rainsensor and winter pack to the ones we have ordered. Also, we will be offering our cars with 17" wheels for a £300 upgrade as the SE wheels are diabolical.
Personally, the Toledo is my favourite car, I will go back from an Audi A6 2.8 Quattro which I currently drive, to a Toledo TDI 150 when I can get my hands on one!

I can only speak for the continent (that's where I live):
Here the V5 will be replaced by the 20VT 180hp in a couple of weeks. No word about a Toledo Cupra and a V6 engine until now and our sources are good. We should have heard about that...
The 150hp Diesel engines are for sale in the Leon and Toledo in a couple of weeks as well. The exact time will be the introduction of the new 2003 models of the Leon and Toledo.
But, to repeat it, these information were originally concerning the Continent only... no idea what will happen on the Island.

Through RPM the price of the power upgrade is £450.00 +vat
If fitted by ourselves the warranty would be covered by the manufacturers, suppliers or RPM.
