Does anybody know if the Eibach anti roll bar kit is available for the Ibiza Cupra yet. I believe this was to be available at the start of the year, but havent heard anything yet.

Anybody know?

Also is there a rear strut brace available for my car. I have noticed that an OMP one is listed in the Demon Tweeks catalogue for the older cupra, but woudl this fit my car?

Cheers for any help all.

C ya...

Would like to lower my 20VT by 30mm to stiffen it up a bit, but mainly for looks! Who do you guys reccomend for value for money but also for quality. Ideally I would only like to change the springs not the shox.A penny for your thoughts...

-30mm is PI Boingy boingy springs (avoid)

I think that if you email john@sjbsport.co.uk he can supply some -35mm eibach springs

anyone seen da cupra in the new maxpower?

They lowered it 60mm in last months mag with the orig 16"s ....looked SOOOOO low.

Then this month, its sitting on sum 17"s, which have increased the ride height. Looks good shit, and not low enuf to produce 1990 style F1 sparks!

....wot do I know, Ive got a f'in 1.4 :( LOL

Just to back peddle a little bit, has anyone here lowered a 20VT? What is the handling/ride comfort like? The last car I lowered would practically shake the fillings out of your teeth on a bumpy road! Don't really want to have that problem again but every time I look at that gaping gap inbetween the tyre and the arch I just wanna drop it!

I've tried an Ibiza with Eibach springs fitted, it's not bad but I think you need to go the whole way and do the dampers as well. Koni are doing a sport kit for £450 which should be good. Star Performance are the cheapest I've found for Koni 01592 770377

You could allways change spring top cups to lower it 10-15mm without any loss of ride comfort, I doubt anyone does them specifically for Seat's yet. Golf ones will fit as shocks and top mounts are the same.

You could use the spring top cups with -30mm springs to keep as much ride quality as possible, whilst getting a big drop.

Me and my brother both have Eibach springs on our Golfs and are more then happy with the ride, I use my car for work and drive about 400 miles a week.

I *think* that SEAT's are lowered already to the max wrt spring cups.

From memory my 20VT's top spring caps (plates) were almost flat in profile so the Bonrath type lowering top plates would not be of any benefit.
"from memory" Its been a while since I was under there. :D

Sorry, that only applied to cars upto '99 as they use the same top cups as a Mk3 Golf.

Thanks guys - so it looks like it will have to be a set of springs and shocks then.

Cheers.
