Erm where do yuo expect the whoosh to come from?

Running the DV in reverse? Erm? how does it open, and when it does, are you not losing lots of power?

Check that the surplus dynatwist tubing is not too tightly sqeezed together causing restrictions and preventing proper airflow.
Also check that dynatwist intake isn't blocked with any debris (leaves etc).
Check also conections of hoses onto DV for signs of leaking.

Remove the DV007P and suk on the top pip.... to pull up the piston.... hold the suk.. :p and see if it stays up..

Can also try this by pushing the piston up with a pen, place finger on the top pip, release pen and see if the piston stays up. This checks the DV vacuum side is ok and that there is no stiction.

Are the hoses all tight, including the surrounding ones, which may have been disturbed.
If a DV is'nt working properly or at all, you will hear a wastegate chatter. A flutter type sound and not a woosh from normal venting. If this is the noise you have (hard to describe noises) and you have checked the DV is function when a vacuum is pulled on the small top pip, then suspect the controlling solenoid to be faulty, not letting the vacuum signal get to the DV, hence no workie.

My best guess.
Hope you sort it.

How could i check the controlling solenoid to see if faulty? My apr chip says i peak at 1bar but seems like it kinda settles at around 0.8 bar would this be enought to give me the required noise? Also have just ordered a n75 valve will this increase the boost?

If you have done the other checks first... (have you?) then maybe the DV is'nt getting its vacuum signal.
All depends on quite what this sound is... squeak, flutter, chatter...

You will need to log with vag-com requested vs actual boost to see if you are falling short or getting what the ecu is asking for.

I havent ckecked yet. Plus i aint got vag-com avalible and no other users around glasgow has it either. Therefore i will have to get a boost gauge pretty soon so see what boost am actualy getting.Oh and the sound is just a squeek. Almost like a squeeky pedal.

I removed the forge dv and re-mubed it.I also removed the metal casing around the dynatwist. And whoosh! sounds great. I know its not ideal to have an open filter in the engine bay but am getting a cai soon.Cheers
