The exchange rate is in our favour at the moment, so if you just want the software (I havent checked cable prices) then the $99 from ross-tech is £53 as opposed to £60 by getting from the UK dealer (you might have credit card commision and stuff, but unlikely to make up the difference)

The USB "dongle" cable is also massively cheaper. Including shipping its like £150, vagcom.co.uk its £229! No thanks!

Have you taken into account the fact you have to pay VAT, Customs fees, customs admin fee etc on top of that?

I ordered an intercooler water spray from Australia for £150, but then a month later I got a bill from DHL asking for 17.5% VAT, 10% Customs something, £10 inspection fee, £10 admin fee etc. It was mad... I ended up paying half again in fees!

ouch! I guess you might have that problem ordering hardware, but if you get the cable from somewhere else then the software is just a serial number you buy so cant get all the extras stuck on.
