Does this vary around the country? Up here it's £35/hour but god knows what the actual mechanic receives.:confused:

BMW/Audi/Merc dealers round here, inc VAT, are now beyond the £100 per hour mark for the dearer ones, still be lucky to find one below £90 p/h.

It does vary. Depends on dealer.

Up here its around £35 too but down south a mate of mine (service manager) says they charge £45-50.

What has to be considered is that the labour charges also include the costs of the servicing dept. Rent / equipment / etc etc so although they are charging £35 to £xxx the bloke doing the work will be receiving bugger all.

well if you really want to know we charge out 52.00 per hour and our mechanics get 10.00 per hour,, but with council tax at 50.000 per annum and insurance at 45.000 per annum this is fair..we also provide free curtsey cars and demos
