Is there a 2.0tfsi uprated headgasket and bolts kit for this engine?

Is there even a headgasket for this engine or is it sealant?

cheers Rob

Hi Rob
for timing belt or timing chain 2.0 FSI motor? Whatever the case there will always be a head gasket. We usually use the OEM units as they are multi-layer and pretty much exceed industry standards. If you want a compression dropping gasket simply tell me what CR you wish to achieve and we will work backwards on the thickness.
As for Bolts - yes we have ARP's for heads and mains on the timing belt motor and just the head on the timing chain motors.

How much are uprated head bolts for 2.0TFSi engines then - code BWA, BWJ and CDL?

BWA & BWJ are the same internally. CDL has minor difference but essentially they are all very similar timing belt motors.

ARP Head studs : 206.30 USD Shipped anywhere in the UK.

Thank you. Just so you know quite a few higher power k04 engines have blown their head gasket. If the OEM gasket is the best one then maybe OEM bolts are not the greatest.

So these and an APR pump would be a good idea then Al?

I am getting mine APR converted when I go to Texas next week bud as there have been a few engines lost to knackered seals on fuel pumps now.

Theres a thread on the golf forum in the mk5 section about it. What about the ARP bolts are they worth it?

Dunno Rob. Never heard anyone use them yet, and I am not sure if the gaskets leaking is down to the gasket or the bolts.

The most powerful FSI motor we have built (2nd more powerful in the world...that we know of) runs the OEM head gasket and ARP head studs. Ive never been a fan of OEM head bolts especially with there one time use only.

We only use APR pumps in our builds along with the H2Sport follower upgrade.

Out of interest, how much boost does that engine run?

2 bar so about 30 psi.

30psi is way more than S2+ on a K04 makes (22psi max). Guess the issues with head gaskets may well be to do with the bolts rather than the gasket then.

Thank you for your help.

Stage 2+ Revo peaks at 1.8 bar ish on max boost.

ARP head studs are great on the FSi's. Used them a few times and ive got some coming for my car too.

Sam. Is the H2Sport kit with the new cam lobe?

Al

The logs I have done suggest peak boost to be a little less than that on K04 2.0TFSi with Revo Stage 2+.

Not sure if any TFSi's with head gasket leaking have been documented for the root cause yet unless you guys know of any? One would have to assume that the standard head bolts are not up to the job when modified?

i will ask around over here and see if any failures have occurred.

Still not confirmed but the favourite is likely to be injector failure of somekind from what people have said and running to lean.
