Just bought a 2003 cupra 180bhp, when a bought it a was told it was remaped and it does pull well, the boost gauge goes to 9 and a half psi, but how can a tell if its been remaped, also before a bought it the lad took the dv off and the ind kit off so it got the standered back on now. cand any one help.

From my understanding the remap will only be at full potential if the dv and air intake system are back to how they were set at the time of the remap.. As they affect how much air/fuel goes through the "system" in simple terms i f they have been changed back to stock then the map will be affected... I hope this gives you some understanding :)

They should overboost at 1.4 bar and settle down to around a bar boost with it mapped to 225 bhp

firstly your car should be spiking at 10-12psi and holding between 7-9psi on a standard map, depending on what type of map you use , can be anyway from 15psi-22psi spike and holding from 11-16psi, in regards to your dv and intake, standard intake will be fine even up to stage 2 and if the factory dv is working well can also handle stage 2, so no worries there , but personally your running factory boost levels so don't think its mapped
