I wish I did this!
The day I go them, the key slipped off the bolt and wrecked the key.
I went back to the people I got it from and was basically told "tough".
I now have a useless set of McGards!

I don't mean to question you, but....
A couple of weekes after I bought my LCR, I had an unfortunate incident with a kerb. This resulted in a bust trye and alloy. OK I thought I'll put the spare wheel on. However my locking key was still at the dealer (there was a little mix up when I picked the car up). I rung the AA and told them. The lady said no probs, we will be able to get the wheel off, "we have a special kit". So the guy from the aa comes out. Looks at the locking nut as says to me no chance mate. However, he spotted a set of McGuards which I had bought and were sat in the boot waiting to be put on the car (once I got my key from the dealer). He said if I'd had the McGurads on the car, he'd have been able to get the locking nut off no problem.
Was he just talking out of his @rse ???!
btw well done McGard, good customer service is hard to find now a days :(

yeah imho paz,as i rounded my standard locks, changing the brake pads(dark, raining),sliped the key was, fecked and the last nut luckly,i then thought i'll have to get that wheel off one day,key wouldnt even fit in the bolt, took 5 mins to get off although i wont go into that on here, how i got it off, needless to say easy, got the mcgards on the recommendation of the local pikeys, they wont mess if there mgards, not worth the hassle, thats a good enough recommendation for me,also he was aware there is a kit that can be bought on the t'internet, that aa prob has,no good on mcgards he said:confused: somthing to do with the ring seat area???????,anyhow he knows not to mess, and unfortnatly is a juvenile(sp?) and police/courts can do nothing:mad:
one thing paz, keep the seat ones on,remove a bolt from each wheel, and fit the mcgards mate, two sets better than one, buys time,so pikeys wont bother look for sumit easier, hide key somwhere different than boot, just dont forget where:eek:
