Does anyone have any suggestions for the following mods.
Brakes disks and pads ( replacement rather than big brake conversion)
Exhaust (Cat Back system)
K&N (No one knows which replacement filter to use)
Suspension (shocks and springs)
I have had 3 MK2 Golf GTi's and at last got my act together and baught an Ibizia GTi.
I have a 97 8 valve Gti. The handling is amazing for standard suspension. My golfs took coilovers ,anti roll bars and strut braces before they were that good.
I have only had my Ibizia for 3 weeks and have put some 17" BK 229's had all the black trim sprayed the same colour as the car. And the ice is being fitted tomorrow.
But I am not sure which brands etc work well on the Ibizia.
any help would be great.
cheers
Some one help this dude ...... As he sits 20 feet from me.....:cheers:
Brakes disks and pads ( replacement rather than big brake conversion) - Pagid Fast Road - 256mm - so MkII 16v Golf - www.gsfcarparts.com
Exhaust (Cat Back system) - Supersprint fairly good - www.awesomegti.com (call for 10%)
K&N (No one knows which replacement filter to use) - the panel filter that's specific to the Ibiza 2.0 8v
Suspension (shocks and springs) - H&R, Koni, FK, billies - depends what you want from it / how low etc
My golfs took coilovers ,anti roll bars and strut braces before they were that good.
ARB's are good - mk2 fitment with a mild 'bodge fix' to fit the ream beam - strut braces also good.

My suggestions would be:
Exhaust = Milltek
Shocks & Springs = Bilstein Sprintline
Coilovers = H&R
Brakes = Pagid Disks and pads or maybe Greenstuff?
Filter = Had a Pipercross but really it neededf a sheild to stop it sucking hot hot air in
but sure there are lots of other with experience of different things. Best if you could get to a meet and go for a ride in a few diff cars maybe?
Cheers

reckon that even Demon Tweeks will sell you one..
I'll pick up a couple of VW mags @ lunch for inspiration - but they often show SEAT stuff for sale
cone filters suck hot air in - so replacement filter & drilled airbox is the way.

I'll Bump him - Cheers m0rk
Demon Tweeks always send the wrong K&N. They never even bothered to try and find out the right one for me. Get a Green cotton from Bill instead. If you're going to go buy stuff check out the discounts section. If you want Bilstein suspension, hold on a bit cos I think Andy @ Redline should come in with some extra discounts soon.:) If you're in Andover, Des @ Banshee wil be convenient to pick up a strut brace.
