Has anyone fitted aftermarket pads instead of the standard one's? Last time i had them replaced by SEAT it cost me nearly £100  for the front. Now the time had come for the back one's to be done i'm thinking i might be better off changing to pagid or something, if anyone had experience of this or knows what fits the arosa the advice would be appreciated.

I'll try & remember to do it tonight for you

I'm fairly sure that it'll be an Ibiza/golf setup

fit em yourself in that case with minimal tools - save £65 or so

Is it an easy job?
I'm pretty shocking when it comes to getting my hands dirty, but for a £65 saving i'd be a fool not to.

can you undo 10-12 bolts & do them back up again?

(8 of these bolts are your wheel bolts)

They are not called "stealers" for nothing!

very easy to do as has been said-hardest thing maybe pushing the piston back into the caliper(thats if they are calipers and not drums of course)

with practice you can get em done 10 mins a side

why an hours labour? cos you'll pay it :)

i'll check the drg's later - but if you want a trip up the M1 I'll show you how to do it

buy set of ebc green stuff pads and turbo disk's , bout £50 and £150, no bake dust, loads more power, pop the bonnet, 1st take off the brake resvoiur lid, once you've got the wheel off a 6 mm alan key is the tool you'll need for the back of the caliper (you may find it hard to get to the bolts in the back of the caliper as seat realy pack it tight with copper grease) and a g clamp may be usful for comressing the pistions back into their housing, a better idea is buy all the parts and pay a none seat garage to do it will cost around 25 to 35 quid.

Also to save disk warping, when you get home after new disk's and pads have been fitted, losen your wheels slightly and retighen then to the proper torque settings with a torque wrench, air jack drills have a tendacey to put your wheel back on ever so slighty out of true (esp on alloys) causing you disk's to warp, repeat the losen and retorque after a month and you disk's should last a lot longer with out warping.
