View Full Version : newbe with20vt and £800
due to pick up my beezer 20vt next weekend, would like to get it remapped soon but only have £800 left after buying the car.
ive read the threads on revo/jabba and now dont know which way to go!!!
both say basic remap about £500,but i persume ill have to by gauges and other "extras" not included.
leaning towards jabba due to the rr setup etc but am new to turbo cars as ive only had the cupra sport 8v
any advice on what to get for my money would be great
cheers:)

Either are good choice...
Jabba are the other side of Peterborough if you're up the road from me in Glos..
REVO is non invasive ecu wise.. but more expensive than Jabba.
£499+vat
SPS boxes are additional options
Jabba have optional Boost controller.
Consider also brakes and suspension at some point to better deal with the extra power. Std suspension is not great. Cheap effective mod is adding rear spacers to square the car up. (its 35mm narrower rear than front as std, which makes it feel 'loose' on the rear end) - Spacers make the rear planted and very stable.
If you fancied a REVO demo prior to making your decision, give me a bell if your in Glos.. 5hours to see what you think of it.
Also consider a more robust DV, as the factory Ibiza ones are prone to failure, and if weak the extra boost helps send them into the dead zone. (Forge DV007P is advised one)

aye - do the prep work or brakes / suspension / DV / Spacers 1st.
Is your Ibiza in warrantee still?

Chip £570, DV £80 Spacers £70, Momo Seat Strut Brace £50. Pretty much £800 coverd
Look in the for sale section for second hard bits for these, can sometimes get a good deal which means you could add an induction kit and saome gauges

Before the gauges and induction kit, at least get some pagid fast road brake pads. Ultimately you really want some decent (brembo) 4 pot caliper brakes to deal with the extra power.

Found a Forge DV 7 on ebay at the moment for £50.00
Search under VAG.
