They've got me thru snow, downpours and dry! :) A GREAT ALL ROUND TYRE!!

I thoroughly recommend them! Has anyone else experienced this or just me?

I've had them in the past and the only thing I would say is if they're going to slip you don't get warning, they just ping out:D But they are supposed to be a reasonable tyre though.:)

I've had allsorts of tyres over many years and can recommend Falken 452's. They are reasonably priced, wear pretty well - they're the "performance" spec so don't get the longevity of their stablemate the 912 - get brilliant dry grip and better than average wet. All in all an excellent product. Made in Japan, BTW.

I got 452's now prev ze912 n before them 452's.

Grip is more than enough for my 110 lump

452 on the rear lasted 50k
26k on the front

Ze912 did 24k on front

Replaced all of em in november for £240 thatll get me to 150k on the clock :) very happy with them

Oyeah managed to get 50 mpg last 2 fill ups and its not been that warm!

I've had them and will NOT have them again, very soft and no grip in wet.

Now running vredestein's and not sure if I like them either.

Had Hankook Evo's last time and they were good and lasted a while. So once these go I think i will go back to Hankooks

Running Leon MK2 FR TDI De-DPF (230-240bhp ish)

Found the 452's ok on my LCR, not amazing in the dry and not the best in the wet. I will be trying Yoko Prada's, Goodyear Eagle F1's or Vred's next.

I wouldn't skimp on tyre's myself. I'm only running a couple of Falken's because they we're on the car when I bought it. This year I will replace all of them for either of the 3 I mentioned.

I have had loads of different tyres, falkens, toyo's, pirelli's etc
for normal and slightly stretched tyres

for price, grip and durability, I go for the falkens, so much so, I am running a set of 4 on my Bora now :p

Another vote for the 452's as a great tyre. They are a softer compound than some other's so of course there going to wear quicker than harder one's. I rate these better than Eagle F1's for being a better all rounder.

What do you think they are like on a little car ? I had Toyo proxies for a year and hated them, then went over to yokohama's and haven't tried any others.

Too much wear and they were aligned correctly. I thought I would give Yoko's a try and converted. For the price I would rather have Yokohama's but, I have a 2nd set of wheels now so am looking for a change.

Boo, I had Falkens (both 452's and 912's) on my MK2 Ibiza, they were really good.

the 452's wear much less than the Toyo T1-R's, and better in the wet than the T1-R's too

912's have slightly less grip then the 452's, but are harder (so last longer) and are better in the wet than the 452's :)

Re: "suj" comment of the 912's performance in the wet.

Often harder-wearing and good performance in the wet don't go hand in hand. However, now that my boy-racer days have gone (grandad, now) and the Altea is soon to arrive, I might give the 912's a go at the next change. I know they're definitely harder wearing than 452's - vouched for by a pal who has a tyre fitting business - so it's best of both world's really.

BTW. The front tyres on the Altea I'm getting are Prestivo - a Yokohama brand. As far as I'm aware these are pretty new to the UK market so I've not found much by way of reviews. Anyone here got experience of these? If not, I'll soon know how they do and I'll put up a post.

I ran 452's for a while, no complaints at all.

well tbh the grip isn't as good as the 452's in the dry, but in the wet, the 912's are great IMO
and are definitely hard-wearing

shame there is problems with Falken UK (from Camskill, when I tried to get 912's)
but tbh, not like i'm losing out on the 452's on the car, real good tyres too!

I had Toyo proxies for a year and hated them.

I had proxies on my old nova gsi and they were shocking - no grip, also didnt wear evenly and at the time they were not bloody cheap!!!

my dads just had a set of falkens fitted to his scoobie and he loves them but only time will tell.

Hi
My Pajero used to have BFG AT/s.
Changed to Falken AT2's, They had much less screech around islands.
They were also cheaper than some of the weird brands

I only use Falken FK452's or Goodyear Eagle F1's since I had my Nissan 200SX (they were the only tyres I found that kept the back under control properly lol) and I just got FK 452's all round on my TFSI sport last week (F1's were on my Cupra). I found the F1's give better grip in the wet but wore quicker than the Falkens, but not really much between 'em.

Just replaced my front 452's (19inch 235x 35 series) with Bridgestone SO1's the improvement is huge, traction, grip and feel is much better. I need to have all 4 wheels checked for alignment as the rear 452's are not wearing round, more like a 50 pence piece !!! I've normal had Bridgestone REO50 ( Celica and RS,s) and will keep to the brand now.

My Leon FR PD 170 which I've had for a couple of weeks has got Falken ziex on the front and I hate them. Not too bad in the dry, but horrible grip in the wet. It just wants to wheel spin and understeer which gives me little confidence in corners.

Are these normal characteristics for a Diesel with this sort of weight and torque? as I've been more use the go-kart type weight and handling of a Clio Cup

diesel leons are front end heavy so do understeer especally in the wet i run these falken zeix912 on my ibiza with no faults

^^ thought that might be the case. A mate who use to drive an A3 TDi (170) said it had the same characteristics. So I guess I just need to adjust... instead of blaming my tyres :)

i still think these tyres totally suck and anyone who rates them hasnt had a good tyre yet, ive had loads and these are crap, no better than nankangs i had years ago on a saxo, and ive done 7000 miles on them and the front need replacing soon, thats rubbish on a tyre with no grip!

falken fk452 superb tyres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my ibiza fr tdi (205/40/17) had toyo t1r all round when bought and were new.
8k of commuting to work they were bald so replaced with falken fk452.
10k later still at 4mm better in wet than toyos were, much stiffer sidewall so less rim dining when hitting potholes an steering was much more positive with better braking stability.
Its funny because the toyo an the falken have the same tread wear rating of 280, but the falken are a much newer carcase design, falken are also part of dunlop

Got them on a set of 20" rims they are usually the only ones i can find!
Don't last very long but do seem to grip quite well at first untill they wear down but that's to be expected i suppose!

i know i'm late to this party but i also highly rate fk452's, so much so that they have been the tyre of choice everytime i've needed tyres in the past 4 years (2.5 sets)
