Hello...
Does anyone know if the Audi TT alluminium pedals (just the pedals, no footrest) fit the MK4 ibiza? I mean do they fit perfectely, like they fit in the VW golf IV?
Thanks!
regards!
Ive got the TT pedals as standard in my vRS which has the same pedals as the Ibiza, so they must do :)
Brake and clutch fit on perfectly, the accelerator requires part of the rubber to be cut off, and then a strip of tape to hold it on.
The Fabia vRS ones were apparently only available with the pedal box, when I asked!

Hello...
Isotta has a kit of alluminium pedals especially designed for the Mk4 ibiza, wich fit directely.
Is the isotta pedals a better choice over the TT pedals?
thanks!
regards!
Well my pedals have never fallen off so it's your choice as to what you think may look better or may be better value for money.
Show us these Isotta ones ;)

Hi There,
After reading a few posts on here, I've decided to take the plunge and order some TT pedals, from VAGparts.com, for my 1.2 Ibiza MK4. Just wondered if u could give me a bit of advice on the fitting........i.e. Is there any drilling required? Are they relatively simple to fit? Also, I've had a look at the standard pedals on my ibiza - the brake and clutch seem to be a straightforward plate construction with a rubber cover, that's pretty easy to pull off. However the accelerator seems to be an all-in-one plastic job, attached to the clutch arm. Is there some way of removing the accelerator 'cover'? Surely there must be, as Seat did their own 'aftermarket' pedals, and others have succeeded in fitting new ones.
Sorry to be a mechanically inept pain-in-the-arse! Any help would be much appreciated, though!
Cheers!
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1) Pull off brake and clutch pedal "rubbers" (made of crap plastic)
2) Fit TT pedals to brake and clutch
3) Cut long strip of rubber off one side of the pedal and apply some trim tape
4) Stick to accelerator pedal "rubber"
5) Admire your handy work, come on SCN and PM toXXin asking him where to send a cheque for his wonderful guide!
;)
No drilling involved, couldn't get the pedal cover off the gas pedal.

Cheers Toxxin, that's really helpful. The pedals have yet to arrive, though with any luck they should be here today and I can try out your deft handywork. Now.....what have I done with that chequebook.... ;)

just come to do this...
which side of the acceleterator pedal do you cut off rubber wise?
IIRC the accelerator pedal is symmetrical, so you can cut off either edge.

abhhh and u use TAPE down the side of it? sounds a bit cack.... :(
Is it even worth trying to get it on without takeing the side off it?

When I orderd mine off vag parts, I orderd the left hand drive accel pedal and that covers the accel pedal as it doesnt come off and the other 2 pedals just replace what is on stock took all of 10mins
mine fitted okay used a screwdriver to pull the edges over the pedals to make it a bit easier

how did u fit the TT accelerator o ne then dude? just slipi that over the top as well? or cut the side off and glue it?
accelerator just goes over the top yes, i didn't cut anything off mine its been on two weeks fine. I did put double sided tape under it just in case. It is a bit akward to fit them mainely cos of your head being in the footwell isn't comfortable!
i have metal pedals on my cupra, they came with the car tho i havent had it since new. The accelerator pedal is a perfect fit with what appears to be a taper going up the right hand side so as not to hit the carpet under the pedal?
If this is the case, why are people buying TT pedals with a bodged fit accelerator pedal when you can just get cupra pedals which are exactly the same visually and made for the car?
I had TT pedals in my old ibiza and the accelerator pedal eventually came unstuck.
Anyone with a Cupra know if their's has metal pedals as standard?

im confused coz looking at the car pedal theres no gap for say the rubber lip of the tt pedal to slip under to give it grip...
do you get me...
the tt pedal has like a rubber bit round the side with a gap round it to be able to slip it over the pedal of the car, but theres no gap on the car pedal for that to fit in to....
i looked at trying to slip it over the pedal but it was no where near close :(

this was a RHD kit off ebay and I found a little mod to the left side of the gas pedal and a bit of heavy duty double sided tape worked a treat, no probs at all and the cars now done 11k miles
if you look at the design of the BEFORE gas pedal you will see that there is no scope for the TT pedal rubber to wrap around and stay put, trimming off a bit of the rubber makes it able to sit flat and the sticky keeps it EXTREAMLY well in place
the reason people get TT ones is the cupra ones are a rip off from the dealers, I asked the same question last year.

ah, fair enough. I picked up a set of TT pedals 2nd hand for £13.. never looked into Cupra ones.

TT pedal rubbers were not specified for IBIZA's, my IBIZA's gas pedal is deffo different from a TT one, I know cos a guy 3 doors up has an older TT and he let me have a look
modification was deffo needed on mine as the gas pedal cover would not fit at all with out

if you ask for the LHD accelerator pedal yes if they send you the RHD accl pedal then you will have to modify it! but other than that yes they will fit
i thought the pedal arrangement between lhd and rhd were the same but just on the opposite side of the car lol...
RichieRich did you mean u just have to modify the origional accellerator pedal itself? or the new alloy one???

i think its more down to how the rubber is shaped underneith, if you look at it under side of it there not the same shape (to tired to even try and spell the word im thinking of) i did think the same sooty22 abut them just being the other side but no ASudi have to go one step further made make seperate ones!
so they will fit? i just think the standard pedalds are crap lol so want sun nice hiy ones lol....
