F2 Stu

Woke up this morning to discover a thin sheet of frost all over the Ibiza, Ideal RR conditions:)
Brimmed the tank with Optimax and my octane booster of choice and drove to Southam to arrive in F2 Stu fashion by getting their before everybody else (by about 1/4 hour). As soon as I bunged them the keys and before you could say brass monkeys the Ibiza was on the rollers with a figure of 79.1 Bhp - Huh?, WTF? thats a 2.2 Bhp increase from only a matter of weeks ago with the same fuel & octane booster albeit without a cracked exhuast manifold. Pleasently surprised I was:)
Next they set about plumbing in the fuel pressure regulator valve that I partially installed and got stumped by the confusing plumbing arrangement. This was followed by few more dyno runs & plugging VAG-COM adjusting the fuel pressure & ignition timing.
End result = 80.1 Bhp, 105.4 Lb Ft Torque
Took it for a spin to discover a different car, throttle more responsive lowdown and seems to want to pull more under acceleration.
Then I was subsequently told it was begging for a camshaft, so was I!!!! Also, I enquired about getting my head fettled with, chance would have it that Vince had an identical head off a polo that had just had the work that I was enqiuring about. enlarged & gas flowed inlet & exhuast ports, new valves & guides and head skimmed, oh how I dribbled:) just got to find the readys for it;)
Their have been varied reports of pressure regulating valves, it does what it says on the box in my case.
Good thorough service and cost lest than I was expecting:)
