If you do a search you will find most people use either 10w 40 or 5w 40.
Semi synethetic or fully synth is ok, but dont use fully synth until the engine is well run in (about 10k).
Brand wise alot of seat delaers use either Helix syta gold or castrol magnetec.
I have used magnetec every 5k up until now (25K) and i am just about to start using Ford Formula S fully synthetic 5w 40 as I can get this cheap and it is basically re branded mobil 1.
I think some people use mobil 1 fully syth as well.
Cheers mate! :D
Would 5W40 or 10W40 be the best? My car has done just over 20k?
mobil 1 0w40 every 5k miles.
have used mobil 1 race spec 5w50 also.
i'm using shell 5w-40 every 10000kms (~6.2k miles).

You mean 15W50 right?
I use Torco 5W50. 5W50 is just about perfect but its very difficult to find.
A W40 oil can suffer from thermal breakdown if you totally thrash the car, and thermal breakdown can result in the Black Death. The Black Death is when your oil breaks down and ends up with the consistency of tar!!!! New engine time.

Why do they make it and not sell it? Strange.
So, its not possible for us to buy it then? :(

Nope-not as far as i'm aware.
Being developed for use on their sponsored race car.Except some went ***cough***missing for some testing on a yellow cupra ;)
0w40 is ideal for me,short 5 mile journies 90% of the time-warms up alot quicker as appose 10w40 on the oil temp gauge read out.
