Yeah it works quite well actually..

Obviously the blocks the sheet lists to measure are for a 20vt, but it's not hard to find the right block. Then you just paste the logged data into the relevant columns and it tells you your figures etc!

the only thing I found was that you dont get too many sample points as you get to the red line too quickly :D

hmmm ok... so if i log block 20 which covers :-

Group 020

Ignition timing
Absolute pressure
Speed
Load

does this info go into your spreadsheet ian... just i cant see where to put those figures... i havent done a log yet is additional information included that will allow we to fill in the speadsheet?

copy of your ss attached for reference... which one did you use, preferred or another one?

Cheers

I used "my preferred one" ;)

If you open the logged .csv file in excel, then simply copy and paste the relevant data into the columns in 'my preferred'.. leaving out any other unwanted stuff - so that's the first rpm column and the second torque column

OK i had a go at doing this bhp logging the weekend but didnt have a good time, basically the problem i have is that i cannt find a block which records all the figures required.

I found block 20 does the speed of the car, then block 18 does the rpm but vag com needs to log both of these and it does them at different times so it does block 20 at 0 seconds then block 18 at 0.4 seconds, thus the figures wouldnt match up for putting into a spreadhseet as they would be .4 of a sec out.

You mention above a block that records torque, i couldnt find this, heres the complete list of blocks for a tdi from tdiclub, cant find it on there :-

http://forums.tdiclub.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=258487&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=7&fpart=1

Which block should i log for a TDI to put into the spreadsheet?

Hi,
I've been meaning to post up for a while now....I've got this problem too. I've done as much reading as I can on it and still can't find the right block.

I did come across a post saying that it might not be possible on all the tdi 110s (or something to that effect) I cant find the message again so Its got me thinking whether I imagined it

I assume you have tried block 120 too. It wasn't there on mine either :(

It seems we have cars that dont have the torque block

yes i think i am coming to that conclusion, i have looked through the entire block sequence with no luck. Ian (driveforward) mentioned it might not be able to be done on the older non PD engines. :( poooooooooooooo
