Mine went on friday, phoned dealer and they said better to let them do it as it is easy to damage it if you dont know what your doing. So went in they changed the battery and it cost me four quid, not bad ,why do it yourself;)
mmm me likes the look of that foldy key rather than me standard one.. mmmmm

may help someone out if they have a bad stealer or are stuck in the middle of nowhere with only a hellfrauds close by
but then you probably wont be online to read it ;)

very nicely done m8y, but do be carefull when doing this and dont rush it, the immobiliser chip will be open to the elements within the key blade housing and so many have dropped out while doing this, if this happens and you cant find the chip the car will not start with that key and you could wind up needing a new one
Now engage the transmitter section back into the key (make sure immobiliser chip is still inside) and push together.
i suppose i should have made it a bit more obvious really - ill change it later - cheers
I get mine changed at every service. Don't want it running out on me with no door locks. Don't fancy having to climb through the boot.

I see this thread is old, but it looks as if it might be very useful. I've tried the link in the first post but it does not work - can it be fixed?
Thanks
