Dear All...
I have noticed a couple of things with the cluster of lights in the dashboard which hopefully some of you can help me with...
1) I noticed with the car that when accelerating hard out of a corner (Like a small roundabout) in say second gear, quite often the traction control light comes on - presumably because the front wheel(s) are spinning. I have also noticed though that a couple of times the light in the bottom right hand corner of the cluster sometimes flicks on for like a fraction of a second. When I read the manual it says it is to do with the immobiliser and the key sending data to be read. Should this be happening? I wouldn't want the ignition to cut out for any reason while I am driving the car... This only seems to happen when going around a corner fast and it not related to the traction control light coming on.
2) I have just got my Leon (Beginning of the month), and so I presume it is a 2002 model - there is no auto-dipping mirror, radio display in dash etc etc, and more to the point - no ESP switch. Why is it then that when I start the car, and all the lights in the cluster come up - the ESP light comes on for two seconds and then goes out? Does this car have ESP or not?!!! I've read somewhere else in this forum that when you turn off ESP on the models that have it - it is still actually on and running at 30% effiecency or something. If I don't have ESP as such, do I still have a form of it running at 30% or shouldn't that light be coming on at start up?
Sorry for the lengthy post, and thanks in advance for any help...
Stevo.
