Hi, just decided to finally do some bhp redings on vag-com and when i go to my [engine] controller and choose [measuring blocks] and select block 120...it comes up with not available...i've tried scanning thru the blocks one by one to get the right block (one with rpm/torque) but cannot find one...any ideas anyone?

cheers

Not sure if this is correct as I haven't tried it myself yet but I think for TDI's it's block 20.

Group 120 is for petrol engines with ME7 (e-gas / drive-by-wire) engine controls.

If a TDI has a block that shows torque (some don't) it should indeed be 020 (or something close). Just look for a value with "Nm" as the units.

Do you need the full Vag-Com version to do get the power readings? Or is this available on the Sharware verison?

The shareware version will display Groups 001-025. So if you have a TDI which shows torque in Group 020 you can do it with the shareware. If you have a petrol engine with the torque in Group 120, you need the full version.

So to get horsepower, torque readings etc from a petrol, you need the full version....???

Yes. Unless you have a petrol engine management system which gives torque somewhere in Groups 001-025. But I'm not aware of any such systems.

Hi, does anybody know where I can get the conversion factors from the 'raw' data to the 'real values'.
I've got them for rpm, boost pressure, temperature and voltage but not for torque.
Also is there a block containing oil temperature or pressure?

Thanks,
Nick
