can someone please clarify why i cant attach images to any of my threads?

You need to upload them to something like Photobucket and host them from there by pasting the IMG code into your thread.

Might be because your still a new member, it states you have to have 15 posts to be able to upload pics, the mods might not have seen your post count is up yet.

could be it alright, iv made the required number of posts anyway. Iv Just noticed in my "posting rules" section it states that i "may not post attachments" maybe thats the reason?
