Having read lots on this site about making my LCR 210 go faster, its sounds like a good fun thing to do. But first a few questions ...

1. What's the best way to get my LCR to go faster? Revo sounds popular

2. What effect will it have on fuel consumption (both when going fast and not going fast), my insurance and my Seat warranty?

3. When I want to go really fast, can anyone suggest anywhere in the Bristol area where I can do this without endangering other road users or getting points on my licence?

1. A remap of some sort. Revo have a good rep, but there are several others. Serial port re-flash that they use is very "stealthy".

2a.Economy depends on remapper, and how you drive it. At the end of the day, extra power is created by burning more fuel, so if you're constantly foot to the floor it will drink more. Some companies claim that their map is more frugal at part-throttle however. This is certainly the case with my car (Upsolute remapped TDI) but I can't speak for the LCR.

2b. Insurance - any unannounced mods that they may find after an accident can invalidate your insurance. Premium increases should you choose to announce your mods vary enormously from company to company.

2c. Any non-std mods to the car can invalidate your warranty. Back to the issue of risk vs stealth.

3. A track? :dunno:
