View Full Version : Stealth Racing RR Sessions - Dates...

Dear ALL
I have a choice of 3 dates for you for the re-run RR Dyno session at a VAG specialist in controlled conditions, where heatsoak will not be an issue.
I have tested there myself, and the results are real and accurate, and the troubles experienced at Power Station do not happen at Stealth.
The price is the same as PS at £20/car with a maximum 25 cars, and this time restricted to Seats only, with 1.8T's being invited in particular (we know everyone who asked got a go last time including non turbos).
The dates available are all Sundays:
17th Feb
24th Feb
3rd March.
please send you enquiries and name/car details as before to dyno@badger5.demon.co.uk and I will create and post a list as before.
First of all, please indicate your preference to the date, so I can confirm this with Stealth.
Get your votes in quick, so I can give Stealth a reasonable notice.

Jabbasport is still on.
There's will be in March sometime hopefully, as they are expecting their 2nd set of rollers to arrive and be installed, to enable them to be 4WD dyno. That way, we can open it up to 4WD cars. Stealth is 2WD dyno only.
As soon as I get confirmation that alls OK with Jabbasport, I'll post the dates up.

Sunday 3rd March is the Stealth Racing Dyno day. (http://www.stealthracing.co.uk/)
Kicks off 9.00 - 9.30am.
Costs £20/car payable on the day. - MAX 25 cars.
Proper Datalogging being done on the day of temperatures, good cooling, full dyno plots for torque and power. Any idea if Mike Trulock (Jabbasport) is taking his 300bhp Golf?
I want this 300bhp conversion but I want to see it/test drive it first... and I'd like to see a dyno plot of the power curve.
Also, whats happening about the Jabbasport RR session?
BTW, have you seen PVW? Apparently I came 3rd (A TT was first, then Jabbasport Ibiza second (Same bhp as me but a bit more torque))... what happened to all the other TTs? Also, there wasn't a single VW in the top 10!!!
This RR day at Stealth is being put on the back burner, with it being so close to the Track Day it seems to have attracted less interest, so probably for the best if we reshedule this.
I'll be speaking to Vince when i have my APR chip fitted probably within the next week, we can try and reschedule it for later in the year, also see if we could get some mag coverage possibly.??
Bill is still arranging a date with Jabbasport, so thats a goer at some point also this year.
Well i'm still up for it if it is going ahead, i have got out of the manchester trip after all !
With the RR day being put off a bit, it will give some of us a bit more time to get things sorted. Upsolute and Jabbasport will surely have progressed with their cars, and I should have my over fuelling problem sorted by then.
And you are right, it's too close to the trackday and other events that I'm going to.
Not wanting to rain on the parade, but as Neil says it does give us more time to sort out specific issues, and i think the list has spoken for itself, it fallen close in with the track day and people are wanting to get themselves sorted for that.
This is by no means cancelled, just delayed till a little later on in the year.
I am still having problems with my car at the moment, and was hoping that they might spend a little time with it trying to help diagnose the fault (paying extra that is), it is still overboosting up to 22 psi now with my upsolute chip in, and is increasing slowly as the months go by, and it is showing -18PSI at tickover, which is more that everyone elses leon which seems strange to me, and makes me think there is still a fault, i now have vag-com, but am unsure as to where everything is in it, and cant seem to find anywhere on the web that lists the blocks and their descriptions
