View Full Version : boosting?
not sure if my 20vt has a boost problem, the car has the rsd conversion, since replacing a bulb in the boost gauge, it only seems to boost up to around 9psi?
iv only had the car 4days but im sure it used to be more than that, the car doesnt feel very quick either?
any ideas much appreciated

If RSD'd, then you should see an intial boost to 17psi, which drops off progressively as the revs climb. Drops to approx 12psi at high rpms.
you need to give Danny a call.
9psi is'nt right.

Check to see what N75 valve you have. With an N75 J valve and stock boost, i saw around 9psi on the gauge. Also check for boost leaks, my intercooler pipework had come away slightly and i was only seeing 10psi (REVO chipped), i've since replaced the spring clips with jubilees and no problems as of yet. Check the DV as well.
