This looks like a bit of a tumbleweed section but I though I'd ask in the hope there are still some mk1ers out there! :)

I've got a mk2 Volkswagen Derby running digifant injection from a mk3 1.3 polo GT with a 1.4 ABD conversion. (Pics here for those interested (http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=44726)) At the moment I'm using the standard 1.3 air flow meter, which is too small. I have in the past used an air flow meter from a 1.8 8v golf GTI engine on this setup but it's too big! So I'm looking for something in-between. I've seen some pics of engine bays for the mk1 SXI and it uses the same type of bosch air flow meter as the polo and the golf, so the question is, how big is it? Is it as big as the golf one?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi GazGT,

Sorry it's a bit of a late post but I've not been on for a while, the system is a Bosch Jetronic LE2 injection system, they used the same system on a number of vehicles in the 90's including the BMW 3 series I think and I recently aquired a mk2 Uno Turbo 1.4 which also had a very similar sized Bosch MAF meter, I never took note of the model no. before I got rid. I can't tell you exactly at the mo but I think both inlet & outlet are approx 63mm, it has a seperate TPS mounted on the inlet manifold which has the idle speed screw on & the MAF has the idling mixture screw on it.

Hope this helps.
