Hi,

Just after a little advise please.

My Mk3 Ibiza Cupra is coming upto 100K :(

Ive got a slight whine coming from the gearbox, having never changed or checked the oil in 5-6 years im not suprised.

What oil would you recommend and in what viscosity?

Also engine oil recommendation would be great also.

Thanks :)

Hi

Redline MT90 would be the top choice for that gearbox 99% of the time it sorts out any issues. Castrol Syntrax is the cheaper alternatives.

I would use a 5w-40 synthetic in the engine and you will find those through the link below.

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Fuchs Supersyn, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.

Cheers

Tim
