Hey

Got a yellow Ibiza FR which i forever seem to be de-tarring/de-sooting! Without sounding lazy id like a product thats is going to take some of the elbow grease out of using AG Super Resin to remove!

Dodo Tarmalade looks to be a favourite but how long will a 200ml last me, is it a thin paste type 'rub in' application?

Will this remove fine soot particles or is that still a clay bar job?

Thanks,

AutoSmart Tardis followed by claybar.

Follow this up with a good polish & wax to keep the aftercare minimal

Tarmalade is a thick paste for rubbin', the beauty of this is that you can spot treat little bits, where as a liquid product will run off and take more wax etc with it. For larger areas though can't beat a liquid product. Something like Qwik Solv (http://www.carnaubawaxshop.co.uk/detailing/65/qwik-solv-tar--glue-remover-16oz) for instance, which is similar to tardis.

I wouldn't advise clay for a lot of tar, although it will work, I'd suggest using a solvent first to de-tar then clay. Tar can have bits of grit and allsorts in, you don't want that being dragged across your paint by the clay, also why ruin a clay bar with lots of tar.
