Just a warning - if it's at all windy, be very careful about working under the bonnet whilst it's propped up. If the bonnet lifts in the wind, the prop can fall out of it's stay very easily.
I had my bonnet propped recently, while I looked at something under the engine cover. I'd popped the engine cover off, and put it to one side, on top of the battery.
I nipped into the garage to get something, heard a gust of wind then a loud bang...
Sh!t I thought, went back to the car only to find the bonnet had latched shut, but with the passenger-side of the bonnet still about 4 inches open above the top of the wing  and the bonnet catch well and truly jammed shut. It was at a horrible-looking angle...
I eventually managed to prize the bonnet open, and there doesn't appear to be any damage...phew.
Could have been a lot more painful had my head been peering down the back of the engine...
