View Full Version : Fault Code!
Engine warning light lit during the journey home tonight. Just checked with VAG-COM and got the following fault report:
1 DTC's Found:
16795 - Secondary Air Inj. System: Incorrect Flow Detected
35-00 - -
Leaking Dump valve? The valve was making a lot of noise earlier this week. It's now totally silent. It's still the original and I wonder if extra boost from the APR chip has done it in.

Hi Nick
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere! Your diverter valve I think is a seperate issue. Clear the fault code, run the car and see if it re-appears. If it does and you find nothing conclusive by way of a leak, may i suggest you ring our office on Monday and we will try and identify the problem for you.
regards
Thanks Mark. I wondered if I had a split diaphragm in the Dump Valve causing a vacuum leak. I'll check tomorrow and see what I can find.
Cheers.
Guys
How do you check the VAG-com fault codes ?
Is it through the climate control unit ?
Cheers
thru the lead & using a laptop & a piece of software.
erm - bill has it - so i hope he'll post the product URL. it's not too bad cost wise really.
In my particular case I used the VAG-COM software on a laptop PC together with a home built interface lead.

Thanks very much for the info guys!
Can also you explain just how you built your homemade interface lead ?
Cheers
I actually bought a bare PCB and did the rest myself. Have a read through this thread:

All should be explained :)

Getting back on subject, I had the same fault again on Monday. Richard from APR came and had a look at it for me; Cheers m8.
The Dump valve seems OK.
Fault log was reset. Same fault came up again tonight so it's off to Listers on Friday to see what they can make of it.
Wish me luck ;)
