Cor.. suddenly it looks quite lardy with smaller alloys and in met grey  and yet in pictures with people next to it it seems low

Looks like the 2.0 diesel option with DSG is the most sporty (just) to 62mph, but the in gear times are much much slower with DSG ?

Ibiza Cupra's looking promising!

However, I bet the bit that the plate is bolted onto is painted body colour so the "big mouth" look of the bumper is tamed...or at least I hope so!

Any news on a UK release date? If it's any time soon we'll be down to the dealers to pre-order one :D

Any ideas on the pricing. Especially the top spec, looks like a real alternative to a scenic/etc for growing families

Nothing yet as its mainly prelimnary announcements from the Geneva Motorshow to do with the European launch, but it expected to go on sale during the Summer in the UK.

But no doubts it'll be competitively priced to its market segment.

To add, ive checked the UK press site.

The British premiere will be at the Sunday Times Motor Show Live at the NEC in May.

So expect to be able to order it from around that time or soon after.

Altea looks good, and model specifications are quite fine...But the "finish levels" introduced have different names than usual...Here comes "referance, sport, stylence and sport-up" instead of "basic, stella, signo, signo-plus, and sport". Is this a good idea? And will the other models of the Seat range like Ibiza, Cordoba, etc. also be introduced using these new specifications?

Mmmm.... I think £17,600 for a nice diesel and a trick gearbox is a bit steep, esp compared with the C-Max and the discounts you can get

Yeah I have seen the prices too.... Seems that you have to either get the Sport or the stylance (sp) the base model is basic!! no alloys, no fogs, heater .... but the middle derv @ 15K seems to be were I'd be looking at. But still a lot of cash....
