hi guys.
im newbe on this forum and have first seat in my life. seek and advise please.
When i going on moterway on my ibiza 1.9 TD 52 reg. about 60 mph turbo cut off itself, i have turn off/on egnition and car start to pull as should for a while but its happen again and again. copmuter guys said it maybe some sensor failed!? any idea? many thanx for any replay. regards to all. Andrey
amy engine management lights come on?? and what you mean cuts off will it just not boast or go into limp mode?

no, the light not comes on, just not boost ! sorry but i dont know what is limp mode,,,
limp mode / safe mode is the mode the car goes it to stop itself from getting damaged or any more damaged. its basicaly so you can drive to youre nearest garage to get the problem seen too.
does your engine managment light stay on once you switch it off then back on again?
if its when you put the foot right down it might be a boost problem i.e a pin hole or a rip in a vacume line or a sensor.
if you dont know much about cars id get the garage to do a dyagnostic check on it or if you have a mate that has one that would save money
it sounds like it goes into limp mode and turning it on and off resets the ecu thinking the problem has been fixed.....

i know a lot about the Porsche it a car of my life but Seat i need for long jorney and famely.
the engine light never comes on. when i accelerate i feel how the turbo stop working and car loose the power,,, ignition off/on solve the problem for a minutes. computer shows MAP sensor problem...

Driving a 2001 cupra and having a similar problem. Sometimes when booting it, slow down for a corner etc, boot it again and feels like theres no turbo/boost. Flick the ignition off and on and its right as rein. Although traction control light stays on sometimes but drives fine and goes out if you flick the ignition off and on again. Will update when I have scanned with vagcom. Also have no dash lights apart from traction control sometimes.
try checking maf sensor and water presure sensor if not them go for the lam sensor usually is one of these i had same problem with my cupra
also u might be having a earth problem..
