View Full Version : Can I play MP3s with an autochanger?
I have a Pioneer 6300R (I think) which cannot play MP3s. Are there any autochangers I can buy that will play MP3s through my exisiting headunit, or will I have to get a new HU?
Think the sony xplode ones do afaik. Sony do adaptors for OE headunits... Pete?

Yup, you can get a Sony one which I beleive works with the Connects2 adapter on the standard HU so you can play MP3. I think the control is a bit clunky with you only having a few buttons but it should be fine.
But you have a Pioneer HU, I don't think pioneer do an MPŁ changer yet... Will check.

I was thinking about getting a Sony CDX-T70MX fitted onto my head unit, it's a SEAT Sat Nav jobbie, would the same apply? Also, would it be easy enough to mount in the glovebox of the Ibiza MkIV?

I think they use the same changer so yes it'll work.
Not sure on the glovebox, don't know how big it is.
