View Full Version : n75 j valve

I've recently fitted a N75 J valve and guage at once. (I not sure what psi i was running before) It fells like it pulls more in 4,5,6rpms. But it keeps sending my car into limp mode.

I could be driven as normal and everything would be fine, all of a sudden (after some full boost driven) the car would go into limp mode for (approx 5-10miles),only holding 5psi, and then everything would go back to normal. It's really wierd.

When the my cars running normal it peaks 17psi(1.2bar) holds 15psi with the n75 j valve on. not sure what it was doning before.

But, in certain gears like 2nd and 4th were the power on my car seems to be at its peak, it boosts higher and seems to trip the ecu. I must admit i haven't seen the needle go all the way round.(i've got a 20psi guage) I've read that I should be good all the way up to 22/23psi.

Someone please help.

You are getting soft limp mode coming in.
Excessive boost for the ecu's mapping.
Safety mode cuts it back down to actuator pressure.

Not unusual when swapping N75's to cars with incompatible software.

Exactly the issue i was having with the J valve. Have now gone back to the original c and have no problems with it going into limp mode.

I think the F is standard on the Leon Cupra's and C on the Ibiza's. Not sure if the F was used on later Ibiza Cupra's mind you? I've tried the J on my Leon and all I got was a less aggressive initial boost spool up and what sounded like un-even boost progression up the rev range, didn't work for me but I also didn't get any limp mode issues. TBH I'd stick with the N75 your car was designed for, the remap would have been designed around the standard N75 and not the J from an Audi S2....

I believe 'C' has been discontinued, so the 'F' will be the one to order
